Using specially-designed NIIRS10 LIDAR-CUE data management software, WAM is fully-equipped to handle the large volumes of data generated during LIDAR projects. WAM's LIDAR analysts utilize TerraScan and TerraModeler software in processing data, adjusting and classifing LIDAR-derived data point clouds to find the bald earth surface data; vitally important in the creation of 3-D surface models and topographically- accurate maps.
LIDAR has a proven ability to collect geographic data from terrain that would be considerably more challenging and time consuming to map using traditional methods; an ability that ensures LIDAR technology has a bright future at Western Air Maps.
